Guide to warranty and returns
ROADYZ stand behind its products. We believe in providing a higher quality product that is safe and fit for the intended use. For this reason we
supply all our products with warranty as per the below specific details:
Warranty Coverage
Roadyz warrants that the below listed products will be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal intended use
for the following periods:
Product: Warranty Period
Framesets (incl. seatposts and rigid forks): Lifetime
Wheelsets: 2 years
Saddles: 1 year
Handlebars: 1 year
This warranty covers only the replacement of components with manufacturing defects and excludes any damage resulting from misuse, accidents,
poor maintenance, modifications, or failure to follow user instructions. Non-compliant modifications include installation of incompatible or non-
recommended parts, tampering original components, improper alterations that are not as originally specified for the products. This warranty also
does not apply to parts that wear out through normal use, such as brake pads, rim surfaces, spokes, rim tape, and bearings, or to damage caused
by using the product beyond its intended purpose.
Normal wear and tear includes but is not limited to tire wear, chain elongation, and brake pad wear. Improper use of Road Bikes includes but is not
limited to overloading above rider weight limit and off-road riding.
Warranty covers defects in materials or manufacturing. External impact, improper modification, or use of non-original parts voids the warranty.
Damage caused by prolonged exposure to harsh environments (e.g., high humidity or salt) is not covered unless it affects normal functionality.
Accessories and Components (Excluding Wear Parts): Front brakes, painting, and surface treatments have a 1-year warranty. This covers defects
due to normal use but not damage from collisions, scratches, chemical corrosion, or UV exposure. Accessories and parts sold separately are
covered by a 1-year warranty from the date of retail purchase. Improper installation or use will void the warranty.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement or refund
for a major failure. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not
amount to a major failure.
– Warranty period
The warranty period starts with the purchase date, as indicated by a valid proof of purchase. Borderline cases will be decided in favour of
Customer.
- Subsequent Ownership
Subsequent owners (second or later) are entitled to a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase from Roadyz.com.au. This only applies to the
framesets. This does not include items such as wheels, suspension forks, drive train components etc. Proof of original purchase is required.
Scope of warranty
This warranty covers:
• Defects in materials and workmanship; and/or
• Structural integrity of the products.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear;
Wear parts (e.g., Tire, brake disk, chains, etc). These are subject to normal use and maintenance, and the cost of replacement is the customer’s
responsibility;
Unauthorized modifications or repainting of the product. Any alterations will void the warranty;
Surface damage such as paint, coating, or decals caused by UV exposure or third-party products (stickers, protective films, etc.);
Damage caused by improper use, lack of maintenance, accidents, extreme riding conditions, misuse, abuse, neglect, or environmental factors (e.g.,
saltwater, strong UV exposure, extreme temperatures, or humidity);
Damage caused by accidents, misuse, abuse, or neglect;
Damage resulting from improper installation, maintenance, or repairs performed by unauthorized persons;
Modifications or alterations to the products;
Damage caused by exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, solvents, or chemicals; and/or
Products purchased from third-party sources. ROADYZ reserves the right to refuse warranty claims if a valid proof of purchase is not provided or if
the product is from another supplier and/or an authorized source.
How to make warranty claim
Step 1: Check the Warranty
Make sure your product is still within the warranty periods as per the above table.
Remember what’s not covered:
• Normal wear and tear (e.g. brake pads, bearings, rim tape, spokes)
• Damage from accidents, misuse, poor maintenance, or modifications
• Any issues caused by using parts that weren’t originally approved for your product
Step 2: Prepare and file Your Claim
Email us at info@roadyz.com.au with ALL of the following:
Your original proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation)
Frame bottom bracket code
A short description of the issue
Photos (and video if helpful) clearly showing the defect
We may ask for other supporting evidence such as a written inspection report issued by a licensed Australian bike mechanic or store
Step 3: We’ll Review and Respond
Once we receive all the information, we’ll review your claim and get back to you within 15 business days. If your claim is approved, Roadyz will send
a replacement part free of charge. If not like for like, replacements should be of equal or greater value to the defective product. Roadyz is liable for
the defective products, by providing the buyer with reimbursements or replacements for the complete unit.
Step 4: Return (if needed)
In rare cases, we may ask you to send the faulty item back for further inspection. If that happens, the shipping costs will be covered.
