The Corima Puma is an iconic, groundbreaking road bike from the 1990s. Because of its pioneering role in carbon frame history and its scarcity, the Corima Puma is a highly sought-after vintage collectors' item.

Famous for being one of the first full carbon-fibre monocoque frames ever mass-produced (Only 52). Unlike era-typical bikes utilising metal lugs, Corima moulded the frame as a single, aerodynamic, steeply sloping piece.

Frame and Heritage

  • Monocoque Design: Built entirely from carbon fiber, removing the need for traditional aluminum or steel tube lugs

  • Aerodynamic Geometry: Inspired by the custom track bike ridden by Chris Boardman to break the 1993 Hour World Record

  • Team Use: Famously raced by the professional Spanish Kelme Cycling Team during the 1990s in

major events like the Tour de France and Vuelta a España

  • UCI Ban: Production ceased in 1999 because the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) altered racing frame geometry guidelines, which effectively made the Puma's dramatic, sloping top-tube design illegal for sanctioned racing

Iconic Components & Setups Specification

  • Corima Wheels: The Puma was frequently paired with Corima’s carbon wheels, creating a highly recognisable aerodynamic

  • Groupset: Depending on the build, you will typically find these paired with era-standard, high-end components like this one with a Shimano Ultegra 6500 9 Speed

  • Integrated Look & Feel: Features like internally routed cables and aerodynamic, blade-style carbon seatposts were heavily utilised on these builds

  • Finishing Kit Parts: 3T Status one-piece stem, ITM Super Italia Pro Racing, Selle Italia Nitrox saddle and an Iconic Dura Ace 7700 25th Anniversary

Also, this beautiful piece comes with its own original receipt.
