Colnago Master Più is a legendary steel road racing bicycle produced between approximately 1987 and 1991.

Serving as a significant evolution of the original Master frame, it is highly sought after by vintage cycling collectors and riders who appreciate its unique blend of innovative engineering, aggressive performance, and beautiful Italian craftsmanship.

This bike came from Chris Garfoot, husband of Katrin Garfoot, a German-born Australian former cyclist who won a bronze medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in the road time trial.

Key Design Features

  • Columbus Gilco Design Tubing: The frame utilizes legendary cold-drawn steel tubes featuring a distinctive star-shaped cross-section. Designed by Gilberto Colombo, this profile maximizes structural stiffness and frame responsiveness while keeping the ride exceptionally smooth.

  • Internal Cable Routing: Unlike the original Master, the Più (meaning "More" in Italian) routes the rear brake cable completely inside the top tube for a vastly streamlined aesthetic.

  • Intricate Lugwork: The frame features heavily detailed, investment-cast chrome lugs and rear dropouts heavily engraved with the iconic Colnago clover logo.

  • The Precisa Fork: Later editions transitioned from a traditional curved chrome fork to Colnago's revolutionary straight-bladed Precisa steel fork, which radically improved steering precision.

  • Campagnolo Chorus: The ultimate period-correct pairing, often featuring the famous, beautifully sculpted Campagnolo Athenas brakes and pantographed shifters.

  • Finishing Kit: : Classic builds are typically rounded out with a Cinelli handlebar and stem combo, alongside premium Colnago saddle.
